Thank you to those that attended the Busy Person's Retreat on Saturday, May 26th

The St. Mary Magdalene Chapter of Lay Dominicans wants to thank everyone and especially fr. Jude Siciliano, OP for participating in the Busy Person's Retreat last Saturday. During the retreat, we used the scripture readings for Trinity Sunday and the sharing and discussion by those who attended was filled with the Holy Spirit.

If you missed this retreat and would like to be included on our mailing list for upcoming retreat days like this, please email sally.orcutt21@gmail.com

Contemplation in Action

Study and prayer prepare us for mission. In silent prayer, we tune our hearts to the resonant wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Lectio divina, the Rosary and the Liturgy of the Hours cultivate our devotion to a religious life in Christ. Study trains our minds to understand and preach the scriptures, the Good News of God. Check our Workshop/Retreat pages for opportunities to pray in community. Our Study pages provide resources essential for our ongoing formation as Dominicans and preachers.

Dominican Life

Discover the Rule of life which guides our path. Explore the Four Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Preaching of the Dominican charism. Consider: Are you called to life as a lay Dominican? Read the stories of lay Dominicans. Find all these in our Dominican Life pages.

Circle Preaching

When we come to the Word as a community - entering first into contemplative silence, sharing what we hear together - the Word comes alive and Christ is in our midst. Explore circle preaching in our Preaching pages.

The St. Mary Magdalene Dominican Laity of Raleigh monthly group meetings are an opportunity to experience this method of encountering the Word as a community of faith. We welcome you to join us. In addition, we offer retreats and peer support to help others learn about this way of hearing the Word in our day. Our Workshops/Retreats page has more information.
